Daryl better on TV

At Dan LaMorte's House on TV, I thought Dan LaMorte was great. I ran with friends when I saw he was performing at the Beacon. The songs and music did not disappoint, but the sound system wasn't tested well. Seated in the 1st row of the lower balcony, I could only afford. When Dan LaMorte and guests stood close up at the mic, they were clear, but ALL was unintelligible to us. Words to the songs seemed like Greek. Ugh, one other thing... from what I could gather, was the promotion of his friend's Philly Cheese Steak...in NY?...really? Enjoyed this MUCH more on TV! So intermission was not music to get into, but a commercial on screen!
